Blasco de Alagón founded the municipality in 1231 and later it was given to the Torres family. The name of the town comes from the Torres family coat of arms, which consists of 5 towers. Els Ports

The towns and landscapes of Els Ports are rich in history and cultural heritage.

Els Ports is located in the northwest area of the province of Castellón, bordering Catalonia, Aragon and the Valencia Community.

There are many remarkable points to visit such as the Sanctuary of the Balma de Zorita, the views of the municipality of Ares, the natural park of Tinença de Benifassà, the Todolella Castle, the square of the Church of Castellfort...

This medieval village, surrounded by a wall and chaired by a strong castle, is a real open-air museum.

Inside the walls, you will find narrow streets with beautiful corners and a spectacular Gothic church.

During the day, Morella offers us spectacular views and, during the night, thanks to the lights, it is a real spectacle.

It is an important cultural city with many museums, fairs and music festivals...

The Medieval walls of Mirambel are very well preserved.

Once you arrive to this town, located in the Maestrazgo region, you will travel back in time, when knights and damsels walked peacefully through the streets.

Of particular note are the Portal de las Monjas, near the convent of the Augustines, the eminent stone porches and the old iron gates and the roof of the houses. We recommend you to end the day visiting the Town Hall and the church of Santa María.
